Transport from Bulgaria to UK May 2012

In May 2012, Unishipping International Ltd. together with partner from Scandinavia was nomimated for delivery of heat exchangers, from factory in South Bulgaria to UK. Cargo was consisted of two pieces: 26.032 x 4.420 x 4.385 mm, 50 tons and 25.583 x 2550 x 2300 mm, 11 tons.

Heavy piece (50t) has been delivered by multimodal transport truck/river vessel/truck. From factory heat exchanger was loaded on truck to Russe, where shipped by Danube river to Regensburg with direct transhipment on extendible lowbed trailer for trucking directly to UK.

It was a challenging task, as door-to-door transit time was limited only to 15 days (taking into consideration standard transit time of river vessel 10-11days), in order to keep our customer`s deadline for installation at job site. Fortunately all operations went smoothly and delivery did not delay.

The other piece was transported directly without any transhipment from Bulgaria to UK.
